Hoshi no Kaabii...

I am extremely pleased with how this turned out. I feel like I've really accomplished something by drawing this.

You see, even though I doodled things when I was little, my first real passion to draw came about in 8th grade when I first started watching Hoshi no Kaabii. When I first started drawing, trying to draw Meta Knight was challenging to me. In my old DA pictures, Meta Knight was always posed with his sword out since I couldn't properly draw his cape wrapped around him. I even looked up videos trying to figure out how to.

In the spring of 8th grade I made my Deviantart account and became a more avid doodler. Ever since them, I've tried my hand at drawing various different characters... even some real people (though they still look creepy when I draw them...). I decided I'd try to draw Meta Knight again, since I figured that I must have learned something since the 4 (almost 5) years that I've been on DA.

So I'm beyond pleased with how this looks... especially with his cape. Even though I've found many fandoms since Hoshi no Kaabii, Kirby of the Stars will always have a special place in my heart. I guess, as ridiculous as "luvkirby4ever" is for a screen name (I was 14 at the time!), it couldn't be more accurate.

5 years ago I couldn't even fathom drawing something like this... I'm so happy I feel like I'm going to tear up TuT

This is also the first picture I've posted where I used the ink tool (calligraphy) to draw.
